Workshops

Alan is an avid sketcher and outdoor artist. He gets immense pleasure from teaching the methods and techniques he has learned onto others.

Art societies and groups can book him for workshops on watercolour techniques.
Alan leads outdoor painting sessions both weekdays and weekends to suit. Private tuition on a one to one basis can also be arranged

NORTHORPE WATERCOLOUR SOCIETY
Alan is a founder member of this group which caters for watercolour artists with some previous experience. They meet at Northorpe Hall, Northorpe Lane, Mirfield on Thursday mornings 9am - 12 noon, fees are £10 per session - new members welcome.

UPPER HOPTON ART GROUP
Alan teaches a beginners and improvers watercolour class at Croft House, Upper Hopton, Mirfield on Friday afternoons 1.30pm - 4.00pm - new members welcome.

OUTDOOR SKETCHING GROUP
Alan runs a weekly indoor and outdoor sketching group in Mirfield on Tuesdays, times by arrangement. Tuition includes:- sketching, pen and wash, quick tonal studies, watercolour en plein air, composition and subject matter, gathering information for more detailed studio work - new members welcome.

ROBERTTOWN ART GROUP
Alan tutors this group along with fellow artist Richard Gawthorpe. Thursday evenings 7.00pm - 9.00pm.
A waiting list is in operation for new members.

WATERCOLOUR CLASS - HUDDERSFIELD
Suitable for beginners and improvers.  At Netherton Community Centre, Rowan Avenue, Netherton, Huddersfield, Wednesday mornings 9.30 - 12 noon.
